Easy For YOU to Say
Alright here we go....
Classes officially started on the 13th (Tuesday..odd, I know). I have been reading a lil..probably not as much as I should and I have an assignment thats due by 5pm on the 16th (Friday).
Well, I went online today to check the forum for my Criminology class and it said "You are not registered for this course."
Panic IMMEDIATELY rushed over me and I could not even think of what it was that I wanted to post on the damn forum.
I broke out in a sweat, hands got clammy and I got nervous. It was so bad, I had to turn my cell phone off for a minute to ensure that NO ONE interrupted my "moment" of what the hell-ness.
This is the very thing that screwed me over when I was in school before...I would sit in class worrying about things that really had NO baring on the lesson at hand. It had nothing to do with the professor, my classmates, notes, books...nothing. I had a hard time separating the "it didnt matter" world from the "pay attention right now b/c you need this" world. What gives? I literally freak the hell out yall.
So this is why Im coming to you....what do you do to handle stress? Please do not suggest smoking weed (as my homeboy suggested lol) or alcohol. People always say meditate but Im afraid that even in THAT state, most of my "oooms" would be focusing on my problems, rather than relaxation! Everyone always says "Just relax...and everything will be ok." Read the title of this blog lol
Im very nervous about this and dont want to take this sort of energy into the fall semester. Its suppose to be a new beginning and I dont want to blow that for anything.
If you have suggestions, feel free to post them here or email me at jia@jia-tv.com.
Thank you

When I need to relax I like to get outside and just walk. Take my mind off of everything. I put the earphones on and play my favorite music. Works for me all the time.

Have you ever tried fasting and prayer? It always gets me through the difficult times (both school related and personal issues). I ALWAYS try to fast on test days. - just my way of dealing with stress...

hey girl....im in school too so believe me i understand...what i do is stress the hell...i let it happen and then i get focused.... i realized a long time ago that i had to let the freak out happen in order for me to get on top of the task....(i.e. pushing through it)once the initial panic stage has passed on i rationalize the issue and what i can or cannot do about it....and then i go from there....now im not sure if that will help u but it certainly works for me lol its what i call my woosaaaa method lmao
get at me if u have any other stress questions or take a psych stress management class those help too!
